    Request deletion of your Splitly account and associated data

    Important Warning

    Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please consider the following before proceeding:

    • All your expense records and group data will be permanently deleted
    • You will lose access to all pending settlements and payment history
    • Group members will be notified of your account deletion
    • This action cannot be reversed

    How to Request Account Deletion

    Step 1: Send Deletion Request

    Send an email to our support team with your account deletion request:

    Subject: Account Deletion Request - [Your Email Address]

    Step 2: Include Required Information

    Your email must include:

    • The email address associated with your Splitly account
    • Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
    • Any specific concerns or reasons for deletion (optional)

    Step 3: Verification & Processing

    We will verify your identity and process your request within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

    What Data Gets Deleted

    Immediately Deleted:

    • Your account profile and personal information
    • All expense records and receipts you created
    • Your group memberships and associated data
    • Payment history and settlement records
    • App preferences and settings

    Retained for Legal/Security Purposes:

    • Basic transaction logs (for fraud prevention) - 90 days
    • Support correspondence - 1 year
    • Anonymized usage analytics (no personal identifiers)

    Data retained for legal purposes will be automatically deleted after the specified retention periods.
